| Abstract - The opening on 28th February 2010 by HRH The Duke of Gloucester marked the successful completion of the hubs’ first £1m+ project in the cultural attraction sector. The project created two new permanent displays at the Museum, showing the history of the Essex Regiment and the Essex Yeomanry. Various Regimental trophies are displayed, including the famous Salamanca Eagle, a Napoleonic standard captured from the French in 1812. The project included numerous high quality joinery displays including bespoke showcases, electro-mechanical interactives, graphics and audio visual. |
