Abstract - The hub took on main contractor duties for the ‘Attenborough Studio' within the Darwin Centre 2 at London’s National History Museum - a high-tech audio-visual venue for interactive events, and fascinating films about all aspects of life on Earth and scientific discovery. Consisting of sixty-four GRP seats, positioned around a stepped semicircular arena and a Projection booth, the studio showcases the latest in computer generated visuals and lighting technology. The project involved fitting out the whole arena, including the complex bespoke seating, handrails, flooring and the construction of the projection booth and storage units, all of which required a high standard of joinery and finishes. The hub were also responsible for the additional extensive M & E works, including air conditioning and electric infrastructure.
