| Abstract
- The Hub were appointed as fit out contractor for various areas of the brand new Student Centre at the University of Winchester, a £9 million development over four floors. This included the learning café, basement nightclub, sports bar, reception area, board room and bookshop. Our experienced joiners manufactured and installed bespoke furniture items ranging from a high quality reception desk to hard wearing computer work stations. We also produced speaker surrounds, fronts for catering equipment, maple wall cladding used throughout the 1st and 2nd floors and specialist upholstered booth seating within the nightclub. The Centre opened in October 2007 and was awarded the 2008 Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Southern Award in May 2008. |
